No, we are not talking about ☆NSYNC or the Backstreet Boys. We’re talking about one of the most underrated sports franchises in the New York Metropolitan area. We’re also talking about one of the most successful teams as of late. In a region dominated by Yankee and Giants chatter (and sometimes deservedly so), we lose sight of what’s on ice.
We’re not talking about champagne; we’re talking about a team that has made the playoffs 9 out of the last 10 seasons and was in the Stanley Cup Finals last year! We’re talking about the New York Rangers and they’re back in the playoffs!
This year is a little different than the last decade since they’re coming off a season where they went the distance so there’s only one place to go — Stanley Cup Champions! The expectations are high and we will settle for nothing less.
It’s an exciting time and the Islanders decided to join the party in 2015. The crowded field begins to dismantle each other this week with the Rangers taking the ice on Wednesday. There’s nothing better than live hockey and nothing better than rabid Ranger fans. Put all of that in the playoffs with a Stanley Cup on the line and it becomes a RAGER!
