If you’re a fan of any of the people named in the headline, then you’re probably wondering what the heck they’re all doing next to each other. How about NE-YO and Melissa Etheridge? Does that help you?

We would guess not. We’re talking about Joe’s Pub, of course! The intimate venue has featured some of the most diverse talent and supported rising stars to Grammy Award winners.

Seriously, if you haven’t been to Joe’s Pub, it’s well-worth checking out. The name can be deceiving because this is not your typical Pub. The venue was named for Public Theater founder Joe Papp. It was established in 1998 and continues to play a vital role in The Public’s mission of supporting young artists while providing established artists with an intimate space to perform and develop new work.

Given the celebrity roster of people who performed at Joe’s, we would say that they’re pretty good at what they do.

Finally, what kind of piece would this be if we didn’t add our 2 cents? Right now, at Joe’s Pub, you can see Rock Bottom. If you’re into a cabaret style show filled with sex and booze, then this is for you. Kids, this show is Rated R! Scott Wittman and his writing partner Marc Shaiman, both of “Hairspray” are behind this production you won’t want to miss!

Go to Joe’s to see the venue or go for sex and booze. Either way, go!
