If you never heard of the Devil’s Nest and don’t know who Sal Abbatiello is, then maybe you recognize these names: TKA/K7, Judy Torres, George Lamond, The Cover Girls, Noel, Lisette Melendez, Sugar Hill Gang, Rob Base, Soave, Coro and Nocerra.
Freestyle was born at The Devil’s Nest in the 1980’s and for the 9th straight year, its coming back to the Bronx!
The event is called Forever Freestyle and on Saturday, March 7th the hybrid of Hip Hop and disco returns to the Lehman Center. The Lehman Center for the Performing Arts is on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West in the Bronx.
Tickets for Forever Freestyle 9 are $100, $65, $60 and $55 and can be purchased by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 (Monday through Friday, 10am–5pm, and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert), or through online access at www.LehmanCenter.org.
