If you’re not French and do not party with the French, you may not know what Beaujolais Nouveau day is. That is why we are here to tell you that you should get up to speed by Wednesday, November 19th!

Every November, wine lovers (and those looking for an excuse to party) count down to the biggest wine holiday of the year: Beaujolais Nouveau Day.

Beaujolais Nouveau Day is an annual celebration to honor the end of harvest and offer the first taste of the new batch of wine.

The heavy marketing has created serious races to get the first bottles to different markets around the world.

Since we don’t have Amazon’s drones yet, the current practice is to ship the wine ahead of time and release it to the local markets at 12:01 a.m. local time.

In fact, French law that it can only be released on the third Thursday of November at midnight. Sound like the recipe for a party?! We think so too!

Cheers!
