We knew the day would come, it was just a matter of time. Most of you probably remember one of New York’s most romantic settings. Obviously with so much pizzazz and the location, The Rainbow Room is a tourist haven.
That does not mean that it’s not a wonderful, special place that could only be in New York City.
The venue is located on the 65th floor of 30 Rock and has been renovated by Gabellini Sheppard Associates, the firm that redesigned other areas of Rockefeller Center, so you know it’s going to be special.
We hear that there will be a new cocktail lounge called 65 with a wraparound outdoor terrace, and the Gallery, a bar just outside the Rainbow Room.
Sounds like another New York spot we can walk in and feel like Frank Sinatra and there aint nothing wrong with that!
The venue will open on Sunday with Jonathan Wright as the Executive Chef. Wright is from England and has worked at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and has also been at Raffles in Singapore, the Sandy Lane in Barbados, the Setai in Miami Beach and the Windsor Court in New Orleans.
Can’t wait to feast!
