The 5th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards

The 5th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards

“Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak,” spoken by the incredible Rachel Zoe. This is a great way to kick-off our review after attending the 2014 Fashion Awards 2.0 at Merkin Concert Hall in NYC.
Founded six years ago by Yuli Ziv with only a handful of people, Style Coalition started doing the awards as a way to introduce and merge technology into fashion.
If you have never heard of them – it’s similar to the Oscars but a little more amped because it honors the digital imprint in fashion. Though for us who may not be fashionistas or perhaps choose to carve new trends to highlight our individualism this event is perfect to find motivation and inspiration to become the best in the industry.
That said – here is the VIP roster for the night: Robert Verdi who served as the host, and other big names and presenters included Jeannie Mai, Zac Posen as the Keynote speaker, and the beautiful Coco Rocha who presented the last award of the night.
That’s right it was epic!
The following categories honored big shot names in the Fashion world and even though there was only one winner, we congratulate all participants.
Best Twitter Award was swiped by Marc Jacobs (@marcjacobs) who was against Burberry, Kate Spade NY, and Michael Kors.
Best Facebook Award: Asos who beat Burberry, Michael Kors, J.Brand Jeans, and Ralph Lauren.
Best Instagram Award: Marc Jacobs.
Best Pinterest: Nordstrom.
Best E-commerce: Net-A-Porter.
Best Online Video: Chanel.
Best Online Campaign: DKNY-DKNY Draft
Best Fashion Start-up: Acustom Apparel.
Best Wearable Tech Award: Nike Fuel Band
The digital navigator award goes to Eva Chen – Editor in Chief for Lucky Magazine and the Visionary Award is presented to Neil Blumenthal & David Gilboa- founders of Warby Parker. Last but not least is the Innovator Award presented by the hilarious and talented Coco Rocha goes to Asos.
This was an incredible experience and for all you up and coming tech savvy fashion bloggers and stylists – keep doing what you’re doing and we might see your name in the next Fashion Awards!
