An area known for celebrity sightings and exclusivity (and bridge and tunnel by the weekend) doesn’t give discounts. In fact, diners and party-goers likely pay a premium for whatever establishment they choose to frequent.

It all starts at brunch with places like Bagatelle and Beaumarchais selling items for $75K (but they do bring you a bottle dressed as Superman) followed by PhD Bottle Service for well over 4 figures. Dinner could easily run you $200 per per what? person? group? and then there’s the nightlife…

Don’t like waiting in line? No problem. A couple of bottles and tables will make it much more pleasant for you.

All of this sound awesome? Yes, we can’t afford it either. In fact, it has become a big deterrent for many of those wishing to visit the Meatpacking (except for the Highline). This is why we were so excited when we heard about the Meatpacking Summer Series! A free activity in the area that sucks the money out of our pockets?! Finally, we can return!!

The Meatpacking Summer Series is a four-night series of live music, comedy, and improv on Gansevoort Plaza. Again, it’s FREE and open to the public from 6-9pm.

Listed below is their schedule. Come get it while it’s hot (and free!).
