Hello New York City! The newest theatrical spoof “JAWS: the Musical!” runs in midtown Manhattan as part of the NYC Fringe Festival, where over 60 plays will be shown throughout the city. After opening night, tickets for all but this Wednesday sold out overnight!

Rather than musicalize the 50-year-old film, this truly absurd parody runs it through a musical theater blender – spitting out showtunes and a shark who kills for love. Knowledge of the film is not needed, though diehard fans enjoy the hidden references and surprise twists. Cosplay as your favorite character, don your favorite “Jaws” t-shirt, or just come as you are. All we ask if you laugh until it hurts!
The show comes off a summer of workshops at LaSerra Gardens in Totowa, NJ where it was great to see so many mixed crowds laughing together. Ages 4 through 84 have enjoyed themselves and leave humming the songs. It’s versatile for a friend’s night out, dates, corporate outings, or a family night; with plenty of great restaurants in the area to round out your trip. We also welcome you to join us for a meet-and-greet at a nearby spot after each performance.
The cast and crew offer a mix of actors, stand-up comics, cosplayers and burlesque stars. We are having a great time getting this show ready for you.
Although late seating is allowed, all festival shows will begin promptly at curtain time, and please allow extra time for some of NYC’s most “historic” elevators.
