It feels like the pendulum is swinging hard in both ways these days. The pandemic has us all out of sorts and searching for some normalcy or something that is familiar to what we knew before March. I think we can all admit that we took things for granted. Very simple activities like sitting at a bar watching a game, watching a movie in Bryant Park or the entire rooftop season that passed us by. While it may be a little late in the year to throw on your sun dress and have a cocktail with an outdoor view of our skyline, you are able to have the winter version that will look and feel familiar to what you experienced in 2019. You know, the time before the world fell apart.

We just got word that 230 Fifth is bringing back its Rooftop Igloo Bar! The pop-up is back beginning on Sunday, November 1, where a total of 17 igloos will glow with string lights.  Again, this is no different than what you experienced last winter. Except, the team added some safety features given the world we have grown accustomed to.

Each igloo can privately accommodate up to 10 guests of the same party for 2.5-hour sessions, where in the past, they placed separate parties into the same igloo. So, if you’re looking for an easy birthday party activity or a locale to host a small event this is your spot. We know that there is a demand for space outside of your studio apartment given how our inbox has been flooded asking for recommendations. This is perfect for you!  Hopefully this is another step in the direction of our normal and not the ‘new normal’ we dread.

If you don’t know, 230 Fifth is New York’s largest outdoor Rooftop Garden and Fully enclosed Penthouse Lounge. One floor is fully enclosed. And their rooftop garden is open to the sky.
