new york botanical garden

Howdy everyone and welcome to the New York Botanical Garden located in the Boogie-down Bronx where you’ll find an abundance of fun. One exciting feature, aside from the amazing sculptures, rock gardens, and epic trees, is the train show. It is a great event catering to all age groups. What makes this really special is the re-creation of every NYC landmark magnificently crafted by Paul Busse, the mastermind behind this experience. He has recreated many famous NY destinations including the Statue of Liberty, St. Patrick’s’ Cathedral, Grand Central and Penn Station, the Public Library, and JFK by using natural elements such as twigs, branches, leaves, and flowers. Additionally, trains of all sizes and colors race in hidden tracks and tunnels surrounding the exhibit.

While this is a great event for families, adults will also enjoy “Bar Car Nights” that include a complimentary signature cocktail. I’d also suggest that the best time to come back is in the Spring or Summer when everything is in bloom. However, nature remains beautiful in any season making the New York Botanical Garden a great place to visit any time of year. There are new events scheduled for 2013, so check out their website listed above for more information.
