Happy Holidays! We recently spoke to Todd Forrest from the New York Botanical Garden before visiting this year’s installment. Needless to say, he got us very excited and the 2017 show did not disappoint!

The Bar Car Nights Holiday Train Show in New York is truly breathtaking. During the Holidays, Bar Car Nights in the Bronx come to life. The Train Show is hosted at the New York Botanical Garden in New York City. It’s here at the NYBG, in the Bronx, that railroad tracks fill the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. New York landmarks such as the Rockefeller Center, bridges and tunnels are just a few of the many attractions at the Holiday Train Show. Tree sap and bark are used to create the eye-catching buildings like the Rockefeller Center. Ticket prices can range from $30-$35. Tickets can be purchased at Saks 5th Avenue, located downtown by lower Fifth Avenue. Saks 5th Avenue, on Fifth Avenue, often sponsors many New York Events on Christmas and NYE. Flavorful spike beverages are paired with live music near the Pine Tree Cafe. The spike beverages are common during New York Events. The Pine Tree Cafe, in New York City, also have more model trains. Ice carving, done by ice carvers, sculpt frozen blocks of water into Christmas and city items such as bridges, tunnels and stadiums.

Christmas trees illuminate the NYC skies during the train show at NYBG. While small model trains lap around endless tracks in the NYC Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, live music and ice carving can be heard in the New York Botanical Garden. NY events, such as the Train Show, often feature street performers and pop-up acts. These street performers and pop-up acts at NY events, also perform during NYE.

The show doesn’t last forever so make sure you see it before it ends on January 15th! Tickets are available at www.nybg.org.
