The time is officially here. It started a few weeks ago and will continue for a few more. People unofficially take off this time of year. Whether it’s mandated by companies or using the remaining PTO days you have, people are generally checked out of the office. Both figuratively and literally, people are generally just not in work mode come mid-December.

It’s actually amusing that as hard working as we are, we New Yorkers do appreciate a good break in August and a solid Holiday break in December. Before we’re officially ‘gone’, there are plenty of parties to attend.

Most of you are probably not in the event business but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have plenty of holiday parties to attend. Yes, we are probably drinking a whole lot more than the rest. And yes, we are slipping and saying inappropriate comments more than the masses. But, that doesn’t mean we aren’t having fun. You should embrace and enjoy the holiday season and march strong into 2015!

Whether it’s the annual office party where you convince yourself that you didn’t drink ‘that much’ or all those family parties where you’re never as successful as that damn cousin who went to MIT…we’re on our best behavior. Use that loosely. Eat. Drink. Be Merry. Take that literally and enjoy!

Rock on Holiday Season 2014!
