The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro is the biggest carnival in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, but we think Brooklyn will step it up this year and be a lead contender. The 44th anniversary of the West Indian American Day Carnival is a five-day celebration that culminates with a ginormous parade full of colorful headpieces and lots of beautiful ladies dancing in the streets on Labor Day.-Village Voice
