@ Clic Bookstore & Gallery – 255 Centre Street

When CBGB closed its doors at 315 Bowery on October 15, 2006, people traveled from around the world to take one last peek inside the legendary club that was once home to Blondie, Patti Smith, Television, and the Ramones. French artist Bruno Hadjadj, who moved to New York in the ’80s and established himself in the city’s underground art scene, was one of the many who came to record those final 48 hours via sketches, photography, and videos. In his new exhibit, “Bye Bye CBGB,” he takes you outside the club for a fascinating look at the punk-rock fans who turned up to pay their last respects.
