It may be the changing weather, the looming adjustment of the clocks or the fact that Spring is around the corner, things feel different. Call us overly optimistic but with restaurants and bars outside of the boroughs about to reach 75% capacity and the mass vaccinations and relative CDC Guidance as a result, it does feel like our world is turning a corner. We here at New York Events are eternal optimists but with all of this going on, we are just a little more excited for everything.  To add to it all, outdoor dining becomes more comfortable as we inch towards the warmer months. So, while its capacity is only 35% for indoor dining, we can still absorb it all (and more) from our wonderful streets. All in all, everything seems to be on the up and up.

We’re sure that like us, you have been maintaining a list of establishments you cannot wait to revisit when the time comes. Unfortunately, some of those have closed and are never to return again. There is one venue on our list which is coming back. That is no other than NYC’s iconic Loeb Boathouse right in Central Park! Yes, a huge tourist destination but also one of the gems we’re proud to have on our island. The lakeside restaurant had officially closed its doors back in October and we were really bummed thinking it was gone forever. Loeb Boathouse recently announced on its social media that it will be reopening starting March 29th.  Loeb Boathouse will be open for lunch Mondays to Fridays, from noon to 4pm, and for brunch on the weekends, from 9:30am-4pm. Reservations can be made at its website, thecentralparkboathouse.com.

While its only one piece of the puzzle, it does give us that warm feeling that New York is coming back. Little by little. Do not count us out. Ever.
