New York City which is also dubbed, Gotham City, has a superhero to call its own.  Fun fact for you is that people have been calling New York City, Gotham City before Batman’s 1939 introduction.  Tell your friends. As New Yorkers, we have been extremely lucky and very proud to call Batman our own (not so sure about Robin). Obviously, Brooklyn got jealous.  And, what does the artistic borough do? Create their own!

In true Brooklyn fashion, Brooklynite was born! Call him a hipster (we won’t). Trey Swieskowski is an idealistic hardware store clerk who dreams of becoming a superhero. Astrolass, Brooklyn’s most celebrated superhero, is determined to throw in the cape and live like a normal Brooklynite. This off the wall performance will have you rethinking your favorite superhero. Brooklynite breaks up fights at the Park Slope Food Co-op. prevents French tourists from falling into the Gowanus Canal and makes the trip for you all worth it!

The show is playing at The Vineyard Theatre located at 108 E 15th Street (between Union Square East and Irving Place).

They call themselves New York’s home for bold theatre and they have the rep and Tony’s to prove it!
