The Museum of art is extraordinary in size and scope and if a visitor is planning to explore the museum it is necessary that he spends the entire day there. This museum was built around 1870 and till now it contains more than three million works of art whether it is pertaining to the ancient times or modern era. People can also search for most of the art works and different paintings on their website if they don’t have the option of spending a day at the museum.

An overview of the work of arts that is there on the permanent exhibition is being given to the visitors so that they can plan their visit accordingly. All the work of art under the schedule will include exhibition of the Furniture, silver, glass, ceramics, textiles  of late 17th to early 20th century, portraits, landscapes, Folk art, sculptures, Ivory and objects of precious metals, arms and armor for horses, men and children, weapons, objects and monuments of all the rituals and utensils for daily life. The admission fee is from $12 to $27 depending upon adults and seniors, however, all the New York City public school students can see the museum for free.
