at Union Square (14th Street to 17th Street, New York City)
On the corner of East 17th Street and Broadway, allegedly the same spot where Andy Warhol gave away signed copies of his Interview magazine, artist Rob Pruitt has created a chrome-plated facsimile of the late Pop artist. The statue, supported by the Public Art Fund and dubbed The Andy Monument, is scheduled to stand on its concrete pedestal into the fall.
