American Thymele Theatre continues its NYC Euripides Free Summer Festival Series with the celebrated tragedy Medea. Nichole Hamilton directs a cast headed by Danijela Popovic as Medea. American Thymele Theatre was created to promote Hellenic culture in America. Medea follows ATT’s former critically acclaimed outdoor productions of Rhesus and Alcestis.

edea, first produced in 431 B.C. The plot centers on the barbarian protagonist as she finds her position in the Greek world threatened and the revenge she takes against her husband, Jason, who has betrayed her for another woman. ATT presents a traditional classically stylized staging of this stunning play.
