Tuesday, July 19th at The 92nd Street Y (1395 Lexington Street, New York City)

New York’s wealth of mainstream expertise is always spotlighted by the 92nd Street Y’s mid-summer series. Curator Bill Charlap knows how to design a front line of fleet, thoughtful soloists, and this season’s kick-off gig unites a couple of potent vets (the wily guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli and the ever-poignant saxophonist Houston Person) with a rhythm section that will live up to the title of this evening’s program. There will be quite a few heads bobbing on the Upper West Side this month.
