If you’ve lived in NYC long, you know the city has excelled at opening parks, walkways, and bike paths. And today is the largest cycling event in America, the Five Boro Bike Tour, an amazing sight as 32,000 cyclists take on a 40-mile, traffic-free route that starts near Battery Park, tracks out to the Verrazano Bridge, and winds up on Staten Island, where there is a festival before the three-mile ride to the ferry and home.
