Phew! Clock out and get your dancing shoes ready for the the weekend ahead. After a brief mental and verbal ping pong match with friends on where to spend a Saturday night, consider one place worth the experience- Plunge at the Gansenvoort Hotel -MeatPacking NYC. The only dilemma would be deciding between the Park Ave or Meat Packing District locations.
Both highlight their differences and while one hosts V.I.P.’s in a beautiful red room, the Downtown location boasts a gorgeous pool on the rooftop and infinite views of the Manhattan skyline.
Perhaps you choose the downtown vicinity, then you my friend are in for a treat unlike any other. Hopefully, you arrive there just in time to avoid the long lines and you are ready for the best night of your life.
So here are simple instructions on how to get the most from your Plunge experience. Start at the beginning of the hotel and step into the elevator and and press “PH.” A few minutes later, the doors open. Allow yourself to soak in the energy from speakers echoing great house music and other tunes from the DJ located inside the main room.
While walking in between the plush leather couches towards the edge of the rooftop, fresh air rushes in. If dancing is not for you, relax, and lounge at any of the tables surrounding the exterior rim of the venue. The bar is decorated with nostalgic, and eccentrically beautiful art and the bartenders serve as extra eye candy all in one mix.
Drama does not exist in Plunge – a place filled with positive energy, so try your best to curb it before entering.
It is awesome place to visit If you want to get the most of your experience, the best time to visit Plunge is during its peak in the summer when the rooftop is open.
P.S.- If you are visiting NYC, this is the place to be. Everything including a hotel + close proximity to nightlife = Awesomeness! So, the next time you and your friends remain undecided on how to spend a Saturday night, you can always suggest Plunge.
