If you’re going to sample six single malt Scotches in a single sitting, you better have some hearty grub to eat with it. If steak sounds like a pretty good option (or lamb chops, or oysters on the half shell) – you might want to check out the upcoming brown spirits pairing dinner at Morton’s in Midtown. On February 28th, the steakhouse will pair Gordon & MacPhail Scotch with a four-course dinner. Matt Chivian, a Scotch expert, will lead the tasting – you’ll get to try some hooch that ranges from 8 to 30 years old. The feast starts at 6 PM with a reception, and the sit-down dinner begins at 6:30. Tickets are $125 per person (not bad for so much grub and booze), and you can make reservations by calling 212-972-3318.
