You know summer is over when Fashion Week is here. It actually helps ease the pain of putting away the white pants and shifting from rosé to red. While Summer is never a bad time and we love walking around in short and flip flops, there is no better place on Earth than New York City in the Fall.  In many ways, it’s a revival. Kind of like how the flowers come out in Spring.  Except, it’s people. They’re back from Europe, the East End of Long Island and anywhere else with a beach.  Yes, the traffic has died down leaving the city but our little island begins to shake and it usually does not stop until the New Year. It’s a great time to be a New Yorker.

Fashion Week returns to New York City every year in September. This is the highly anticipated event that sets the trends for the year to come. The show showcases looks for the upcoming spring/summer season. Yes, we also have Summer 2020 in sight! There are hundreds of thousands of industry insiders in New York as they descend upon the City for six days of shows and presentations by some of the world’s most sought-after designers.  We can’t offer you an invite but if you’re fortunate to land one, you’ll be able to see the latest runway looks from the likes of Anna Sui, Jeremy Scott, Gabriela Hearst and Ralph Lauren.

The event is hosted downtown at Spring Studios located at 50 Varick Street. We’ll reiterate the difficulty of gaining access the actual event but would also like to point out that Manhattan will be filled with models, stylists, designers, photographers and bloggers for days of all-things fashion. Like any industry event, it usually means a party. And this group happens to specialize in that! There will be plenty to do over the course of the event so keep an eye out for the next fabulous thing!
