@ New Museum – 235 Bowery

As part of its second Triennial, the New Museum is highlighting the work of artists born between the mid-1970s and mid-1980s, a group it calls “the ungovernables,” a term inspired by the 1976 student uprisings in South Africa. The name is meant to represent an organized resistance and also suggests a bit of dark humor about both the limitations and potential of this group. More than 50 artists, artist groups and temporary collectives will be participating in this exhibition that includes site-specific installations, sculptures and much more.
