While we’re very fortunate to have a rebirth of Entourage, unfortunately, HBO cannot make that happen for the Sopranos. This is not a piece on a Sopranos movie. However, it is a piece on a slice of the Sopranos in our hometown, live and in person.
David Proval and Vincent Pastore, alums of the Sopranos, are reunited as brothers on stage. If you don’t remember these guys, does Richie Aprile and Big Pussy ring a bell? Now we have your attention! Who needs the movie when you have it right in front of you!
Set in an abandoned warehouse, Giovanni (David Proval) is a respected “made-man” forced into a difficult position. Torn between love, loyalty and survival, he is asked to give up his crime boss brother, Pasquale (Vincent Pastore), as part of a one day immunity deal also known as a “Queen for a Day.” Michael Ricigliano Jr.’s new play, A Queen for a Day offers a glimpse into a world where loyalty is prized above all and there is nothing anyone would not do to protect their family.
Enough drama for you? We’re headed over this weekend and cannot wait! Stay tuned for our review.
The show runs through July 26, 2015 at the Theatre at St. Clement’s (423 West 46 Street). Tickets are $49-$99 and can be purchased by visiting AQueenForADayPlay.com, or visiting our Half-Price Ticket Section for Deals!
