Football is in the news and while we’re all stoked for America’s most popular sport (debatable for New York), it means that summer is coming to an end which makes us all sad. There’s nothing we can do about the weather, seasons, and time but we can maximize the situation.

Pre-season football isn’t the best but there are some good parts to it. First of all, it’s not on a Sunday so you can catch the games in the evenings and leave Sunday open for Sunday Fundays and boozy brunches. Secondly, you can actually go to a game and it’s affordable…like really affordable (insert shameless plug for half off tickets -www.newyorkevents.co/halfprice).

For less than 10 bucks you can get in the building and catch a game. It’s a great excuse to get outdoors on a weeknight and not feel bad leaving because it will be unwatchable towards the end. Some of us even like to use this as an excuse to bring our significant others to games and not take a ticket away from the family’s season tickets. It’s great weather, you can drink on the bus from Port Authority, and relax in a very different NFL atmosphere.

Listed below are the home games (at the Meadowlands) for our New York Jets and Giants. Grab some cheap seats and bring your friend. A good one may be Jets/Giants to keep the peace! Oh yea, how many football games can you wear shorts to?!
