Depending on how you look at it, the Women’s World Cup does come before the next Men’s World Cup, yes? OK, maybe that’s a stretch but we’re excited nonetheless. The event is taking place in Canada. Yes, the place known for winter sports is hosting lots of soccer matches this summer.
We think that it’s pretty awesome that our friends up north are showcasing the world’s beautiful game in a country known for hockey and curling. Take that IOC!
The reason were especially stoked for this World Cup is because the United States is a legit contender! Not to say that the men’s team wasn’t but Team USA is more or less favored in this tourney! And with one game in their pocket already (Sorry Aussies), things are looking up.
