For us automobile aficionados, we know that while we love the New York International Auto Show, it is not the only show around. Yes, it is great and yes, we have it circled on our calendar every year. However, it’s simply not enough for us. For that reason, we have decided to expand our horizons.

No, we did not create a new Auto Show and no this is not some car show in Brooklyn. We are talking about the Philadelphia Auto Show!

Celebrating its 116th edition, the Philadelphia Auto Show is one of the largest auto shows in the country with annual crowds of approximately 250,000 guests, a 700,000‐square foot display floor and regional economic impact of approximately $50 million.   For those currently in the market, the Show will continue to be a key influencer in their decision‐making process with a yearly average of 90 percent reporting that their purchasing decision is influenced by the Show, which is approximately $3.5 billion in sales.  This is a pretty powerful event you should not underestimate.

If you can’t wait for the New York Auto Show, then here is your opportunity to get your car fix NOW! The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), owners and producers of the Philadelphia Auto Show, announces the event’s return to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Jan. 28 to Feb. 5. Media Preview Day is Jan. 27, followed by the Black Tie Tailgate that evening.

“We are back and better than ever before,” said David Kelleher, chairman of the 2017 Philadelphia Auto Show. “There is so much buzz around the industry this time of year, it’s very exciting. We are unbelievably thrilled to welcome some of the latest products to hit the market as well as several new features that are sure to please all our guests. Philadelphia, it’s time to find what moves you!”

Its winter and what better excuse to get away? Philadelphia is an incredible city and so so so easy to get to from NYC.  Make a weekend of it. We’ll miss you but it’s worth it. Take advantage of everything awesome that Philadelphia has to offer and get your auto on!
