New York is home to many competitions. We have multiple professional sports teams for every major sport, the US Open for tennis and even the Belmont Stakes for horse racing. This is a competitive town where people bring their A Game. That includes everything from driving, shopping and even crossing the street. You have the best of the best here and it transcends activities, interests and sport. One of the most competitive events that our town hosts is one that we don’t talk about often enough. It’s the race of all races and captures people in all five boroughs. We of course are talking about the New York City Marathon!

NYC’s biggest running event is back with the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon, which will see thousands of runners from all over the world compete in a 26.2-mile race that spans all five boroughs. It’s one of the most epic events of the year and it takes place right in our backyard! Even if you’re not running, come out to cheer the athletes and party with everyone!

It’s something that we look forward to every fall and thoroughly enjoy the thousands of runners from all over the world descend upon the city to fly through all five boroughs on foot. These amazing athletes train all year for a chance to be a part of this huge event. The field is back to its usual 50,000+ participants. For those who love watching people run and think 26.2 miles is out of the question, watching the event still makes you a party to the action. There are a lot of options for great spots to catch the race and hang with the runners after. Warm up your voice as you’ll likely be cheering for hours before you sip on some beverages with the athletes and spectators. It’s a glorious Sunday – running or not!
