While we love food and publish many ideas, thoughts and reviews on our favorite activity (eating), that is not what this is about.  March is a great month for us New Yorkers; the weather starts to turn (sort of), the NCAA Tournament is in full effect, the Yankees and Mets make their way back up from Florida and the Annual New York International Auto Show is back!

Our city is home to North America’s first and largest-attended auto show dating back to 1900.  Established in 1900, it is the longest-running auto show in North America and the largest publicly attended.  It happens every year and we countdown the days leading up to one of the most fun, interesting and exciting events we get to write about.

The New York International Auto Show is a showcase of the latest automotive trends and displays an unbelievable collection of cutting-edge design and extraordinary innovation. Whether you’re coming to pick out your next ride, drool over the cars you can’t afford or learn about the latest technologies, there is something for everyone.  There are more than four floors of displays from the world’s automakers that will feature the newest production vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars.  There are nearly 1,000 cars and trucks on display; you’ll be able to see them up close, touch them, sit in them and post them all over your Insta account.

We love the exhibition because it’s the closest we are able to get to some of the world’s finest machines. It seems like an annual occurrence when we walk out and can’t help but appreciate the technology and craftsmanship that goes into powering the rides on people like James Bond get to enjoy.  It’s truly a step into another world; the one you desire. For some, a Toyota Corolla. For others, the one that gets the most ‘Likes’. For everyone, an amazing experience. For us, we love to see the new releases.

Over one million visitors are expected to visit the Show this year to see what is truly possible from the automotive industry. The show takes place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on 11th Avenue between 34th & 40th Streets. The show opens to the public on Saturday, March 31st and the festivities begin at 8:30am.
